Caffeinated or Decaffeinated Coffee or Tea and the Risk of Diabetes Mellitus Background Coffee consumption has been reported to beinversely associated with risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus.Similar associations have also been reported for decaffeinatedcoffee and tea. We report herein the findings of meta-analysesfor the association between coffee, decaffeinated coffee, andtea consumption with risk of diabetes.
