The Lancet, the medical journal that originally published the now discredited research that purported to link autism with the MMR immunization has now issued a full retraction of the paper. It turns out that Dr Andrew Wakefield, the unethical researcher was "in the pay of solicitors who were acting for parents who believed their children had been harmed by MMR.
